There sailed from Montréal on Thursday 1500 men and women for France. The men were mostly reliefs to fill up the gaps caused by the late fights in the Canadian contingent. The women were nurses, mostly included in the McGill Hospital Corps, which numbers over 200, with Dr. John Elder at head of the surgical department.
